Europe Tamilargal organises a Chess Championship contest as a fund-raising event to save cologne Tamil studies campaign. The championship will be held in 3 categories. The event will be held online using the lichess platform.

1. Fill the below embedded google Form
2. Donate the entry fee to the link https://cutt.ly/eurochess-2021 according to the instructions shown in the below video or see here.
3. Please join the respective Whatsapp group based on your age category for further information: (For kids, their parents can join the respective WA group)
Age 6-9 -> Join the Whatsapp group
Age 10-14 -> Join the Whatsapp group
Age 14+(Open category) -> Join the Whatsapp group

Rules & Regulations:
1. Pre-requisite: Each participant has to create a user account in lichess.org
(if you already have a lichess account you can use the same)
2. Join the team at https://lichess.org/team/europe-tamilargal in lichess portal. (Password will be shared in WA group)
3. Participant should login 15 mins before start time
4. No assistance or engine (simulation)
5. Tournament Type: Swiss
A Swiss tournament is different than a Round-Robin tournament in that no players are eliminated.
Every player will play every round, and the player with the highest number of points at the end of the tournament is the winner. Time = 15 mins fixed time + 2 incremental secs Point system:
Win = 1 pt
Draw = 0.5 pt
Loss = 0 pt
Winner: sum of all round points
If points are equal, Tie-break round will be conducted and instructions will be detailed by the Judges
Note:
1. Top 5 players from each category will get a chance to play with International Chess Grand Master Mr. Priyadharshan Kannappan. (Date and further details will be shared during the tournament)
2. Winner from each category will get a 3 days (3 * 1 hour) free camp from professional chess trainer
